JESUS CHRIST IS GOD

TOPIC:      JESUS CHRIST IS GOD

PART ONE
MAIN IDEA:
Jesus Christ claimed to be god (The Almighty). The truth is that not until a person come to know Jesus Christ, that individual will continue to seek in ignorance and will never get to know God.

STUDY TEXTS: “John 14:1-10”
LESSON OBJECTIVE:        To help the growing Christian to be consciousness of the Christ Jesus that he or she is serving.

INTRODUCTION:
Jesus Christ being God do not really have anything to prove to anyone who wishes to refuse His deity in God’s head. But because God cannot dyne Himself, we can see that with careful study of the Bible that Jesus Christ cannot be separated from God the father and God the Holy Spirit. We see that Jesus Christ is God with us (Immanuel) even the way He lived His earthly life among people proved many infallible truths about His claim. As we study last week, Jesus Christ is the only human being that lived on earth without Sin. The Bible said all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). He is not in all but rather He saved all from their sins. There were many miracles He performed from healing of the sick to raising up of the dead, and to crown it all he became sin who knew no sin so as to save us all from our sins through His death and resurrection from the cross on the third day.

SUBJECT MATTERS:
1.                 Jesus Christ claimed to be the same God that sent Moses to the children of Israel (Exo. 3:14, John 8:58).
2.                 Jesus Christ is seen as the everlasting father (Isaiah 9:6).
3.                 Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh (1st Tim. 3:16)
4.                 Jesus Christ is the word of God (John 1:14).
5.                 Jesus Christ as the second person in God’s Head (1st John 5:7)
6.                 Jesus Christ in heaven as the word of God (Rev. 19:13)
7.                 Jesus Christ cannot be separated from God the Father. (John 10:30)

PRACTICAL LESSON:
Because Jesus Christ is who He said He is (God) therefore He is able to make us who He want us to be in Him.

MEMORY VERSE:     JOHN 17:22
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them. That they may be one: even as we are one.

CLASS DISCUSSION:
1.                             How can you tell that Jesus Christ is God?
2.                             What make you believe without doubt that Jesus Christ is who He said He is?
